It is evident that NLBI's 58 Volunteer Trainers are diligent about NLBI's vision to "teach people to follow Jesus, the only true Source of hope, and be transformed by His power."
Over the last 12 months, these dedicated men and women collectively have taught more than 73,000 people the NLBI lessons and baptized 3,645. This work is not easy. Travel can be quite difficult, especially to remote areas where the roads have many ditches. They often must deal with challenging cultural situations, such as polygamy and witchcraft, teaching and counseling people on how to put God's Word into practice. They pray and persevere.
Volunteers from Tarrant County and Dallas County have taught NLBI's Bible-based lessons to 72 students in the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice System. On Saturday, March 7, two students along with the mother of one of the students were baptized. We are thankful for Judge Kim and the entire team, who coordinate the training sessions, and for those who give of their time and talent to teach these young people and their parents about Jesus.
NLBI's donor partners support these outcomes financially, demonstrating that God works through people with various spiritual gifts to accomplish His will.
May God continue to be praised as the Trainers, volunteers, donor partners, Board and staff work together to accomplish our mission to "train Christian leaders around the world to equip their communities to put God’s Word into practice."
"It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night" (Psalm 92:1-2 English Standard Version).
